Guide to weddings in Brantham and the Fees

Guide to Weddings in East Bergholt and the Fees

Every year, round about Valentine’s Day, we offer a wedding preparation day and we strongly advise all our couples to attend. You will be given a pack of information which will give you all you need to know about the service and the choices you can make to make your day special.

You can be married in the Parish church if one of you:

has at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months
was baptised  in the parish
was prepared for confirmation in the parish
has at any time regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months

OR

If one of your parents, at any time after you were born:

has lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months
has regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months
your parents or grandparents were married in the parish

Remarriage in church after  a divorce is also possible as long as the current relationship was not responsible for the break up of the previous marriage. Please contact the Rector for more information. We will make every effort to assist you.

To book, or to arrange the reading of banns if you live in our village but are being married elsewhere,  please contact the Rector as soon as possible. We are currently taking bookings two years in advance.
